What we offer

Almost by definition, we are a consultancy with a difference. For a start, although we have years of experience working with adults in conferences and INSET, we come straight from the classroom and speak with the immediacy of first-hand experience. We do not provide packaged solutions or prescriptive lesson plans. Instead we offer strategic advice and guidance in the shaping, implementation and review of policy.

As you will gather from the rest of our material, we are far from value-neutral and will be of practical use to school and colleges which share our conviction that raising standards is a complex process. It calls on us to develop our own and our students’ creativity, emotional security and, most of all, engagement with the learning process.

How you and your colleagues can use our experience creatively to improve school performance will form part of our free telephone consultation service. Within our own management group, we have skills and experience of raising achievement in a number of ways. If your needs are very specialised or beyond our scope, we have a wide and growing network of practitioners and consultants with whom we can put you in touch. Depending on your location, we can provide whole day, half day, twilight or evening sessions. Our best work is done through on-going relationship over a period of time.

Free telephone service

From an initial enquiry, we draw up a flexible programme, including distance materials, and possibly make an introductory visit. Out of this, we will prepare a written programme for a whole day, half day or twilight sequence of INSET.
